Favourite subjects at school

My favourite subjects at school were Physical Education, Mathematics and Technology. Sport and PE have always played a large part in my life, both professionally and personally, whilst helping me to develop my confidence, leadership and interpersonal skills.

Hobbies

I enjoy a number of sports and our family are massive Liverpool FC supporters. I regularly play golf and coach a number of local junior football teams in my spare time. I enjoy spending time with my wife and 3 boys, socialising with friends and visiting comedy clubs & sporting events.

About me

I was born in Derby and lived locally (with a short spell in Germany) until moving to Staffordshire in 2015. I completed a degree in Sports Studies at university followed by a Masters degree in Teaching and Learning. I initially worked as a PE teacher in Derby and have fulfilled numerous leadership roles including Director of Learning, Pupil Premium Champion and overseeing Behaviour and Attitudes within my previous schools. I am immensely proud to join the Pingle Academy as Vice Principal and am looking forward to working alongside students, parents and the wider Pingle team.
