Law

Law A level is designed to give students a broad understanding and awareness of the key principles of the English legal system, criminal, tort and contract law. Students are required to build up a high level of knowledge in all areas and then apply this knowledge to a range of differing scenarios. To enable students to become highly knowledgeable in all areas of the course, we undertake regular testing and assessment throughout the course. This knowledge is underpinned by an analysis of the extent to which law delivers justice and fairness; by considering some of the more controversial legal decisions, students develop opinions and their own arguments on the effectiveness of the English legal system.
