Welcome to the History Faculty area where we are committed to ensuring that all students make good progress through excellent teaching which inspires and engages them to work hard, be kind and choose wisely.  This often includes examining periods of time and topics where others have not chosen wisely and investigating the consequences of those choices!

History lessons focus on developing a strong knowledge and skills base which will give students a firm foundation for further study. Frequent formal and informal assessments allow students to know how they are progressing, and allows the teachers to plan according to the specific needs of their classes and individual students. We use knowledge organisers to rehearse and recall this foundational knowledge both in lessons and as homework tasks.
